This division was set up in 1986 to design, manufacture, terminate and install electrical connectors for topside hazardous area and Subsea locations. The division is wholly owned by Hawke Cable Glands Ltd which is a subsidiary of the world wide McKechnie group of companies. Hawke connection Systems product range consists of :-

Certified Flameproof Connectors EExd / EExe range

  • Metal shell multi-pin electrical connectors for hazardous area applications

  • Certified Flameproof to EExd IIC T6 ( Temp -30° to +50° ambient)

  • IP66, IP67 Ingress Protection.
  • For use in Zone 1 and 2, gas group IIA , IIB and IIC potentially explosive atmospheres.

  • 3 Shell sizes with 18 insert configurations from 4x2.5mm2 to 75x1.5mm2
Flameproof and explosionproof connectors

Certified Flameproof Ex range

  • Designed to complement the EExd / EExe connectors.
    and to allow greater choice in electrical requirements.

  • 6 Shell sizes with 28 insert configurations from 3 x 1.5mm2 to
    60 x 1.5mm2.

  • One piece moulded insert and numbered for ease of wiring, with low resistance gold plated brass pin and socket inserts.

  • No special tooling required for termination

  • Two levels of sealing per socket.

  • Independent pressure compensation to each sealing level.
