Cast iron Enclosures
Hawke offer a range of cast iron flameproof EExd enclosures for for use in Zone 1 and 2 hazardous area applications. Available in a range of sizes up to 300mm x 300mm in circular or rectangular formats. Standard material is cast iron with a hot dip galvanised finish. CBS can be supplied as alternative in gun metal or stainless steel.
IP55/66 ingress protection rating as standard.

Application
The enclosures are manufactured with a robust cast iron construction and a standard hot-dip galvanised finish. The CB type enclosure is designed to meet the requirement of flameproof Exd apparatus as defined in BS 229, whilst the CBS, XB and 3B, are designed to meet the requirements for flameproof EExd apparatus as defined in EN 50014 and EN50018.

Empty Component Approved Enclosures
The enclosures are also available as Ex component approved empty enclosures 'Z' types, for final certification by the customer , eg . ZXB .
