Cable
Glands.
Our
cable gland range cover the spectrum of cable designs and constructions
for use in applications from general industrial through to increased safety,
flameproof, explosionproof and deluge protected installations. All are
manufactured in brass as standard with stainless steel or plastic as optional
materials on certain designs. All Hawke flameproof cable glands are certified
for use in both flameproof EExd and increased safety EExe applications.
Available in a range of designs, including the patented Hawke Reversible
Armour Clamp (RAC) types, compound barrier types and designs suitable
for use with lead sheathed cables.
In hazardous (classified) locations where the threat of fire or explosion
is ever-present, the award winning Universal cable gland is particularly
effective. Easy to assemble and providing a positive explosion protected
seal without applying the pressures onto the cable sheath as per cable
glands with compression / displacement seals. The Hawke patented diaphragm
sealing system was launched as part of the Universal cable gland range
and cable terminations.
Our Industrial cable glands are suitable for general purpose and heavy
duty applications.
Cable gland accessories are available such as adaptors and reducers, shrouds,
stopping plugs, lock nuts, earth tags and sealing washers.
UL / cUL Listed explosionproof Cable Gland Connectors.
Our 7 series range of cable gland connectors are designed
for use in industrial and hazardous (classified) locations. Cable gland
connector designs are available for use with North American Metal Clad,
continuous corrugated, interlocked armoured and Teck type cables and PLTC,

Intrinsically Safe Fieldbus System.
Hawke Fieldbus,
a division of Hawke Cable Glands Ltd fieldbus
, have designed and developed a comprehensive gas group IIB dual-redundant
intrinsically safe fieldbus network power supply and isolated segment
coupler, with 'Fieldbus-Ready' weatherproof junction boxes supplying 1.2
Watt matched power or FISCO device outputs (also suitable for transition
for areas classified gas group IIC ). fieldbus

The
Underwater Mateable Connector (UMC) has been designed for the long term
reliability and ease of use in the demanding and hostile world of sub-sea
locations.

The Hawke Connection Systems division also designs and manufactures EExd
and EExe connectors for use in hazardous (classified) areas.
Increased Safety and Flameproof Enclosures.
With
proven performance and safety, our enclosures are used for the safe electrical
distribution in industrial and hazardous area applications.
We have a complete range of electrical enclosures and junction boxes for
use in weather proof, increased safety and flameproof applications. Available
in various formats, they are manufactured in stainless steel, mild (carbon)
steel, cast iron, glass filled polyester (GRP) and polypropylene.
All Hawke enclosures are supplied complete with terminal assemblies.

Transit Systems.
The
Hawke Multi Cable Transit system provides a simple but effective method
of safety, sealing multiple cables and pipe penetrations through fireproof
or watertight bulkheads in ships, offshore and onshore oil, gas and petrochemical
installations, commercial and civil buildings. The system is designed
to protect against fire, smoke, water, vermin, EMC and provides a gastight
seal.
A major advantage of this system is the colour coded tolerant blocks which
provide a simple method of visually checking that the correct combination
of cable / pipe diameters and block sizes have been correctly selected
and installed in the Multi Cable Transit.
